FAQs

Why should I seek Therapy?

Why not? Therapy is a way of taking care of your mental and emotional wellbeing; the same way you may take care of your physical health through regular doctors appointments or fitness classes. You should seek therapy if you are motivated to change your current mental/emotional state, and are looking for ways to pursue a well rounded and healthy lifestyle. Plus, you won’t regret taking care of yourself when you can see your full potential.

How long will I be in therapy?

Everyone’s therapy needs and goals are different. The duration of treatment depends largely on your commitment and motivation to attend therapy, as well as your own specific goals.

How often will I attend therapy?

Again, each individual or couple has their own unique needs and frequency of session can vary depending on these needs. Typically clients attend weekly sessions at first and work towards more spaced out sessions as they reach the end of treatment.

How long does each session take?

Sessions are typically 50-60 minutes. Additional lengths of sessions can be discussed with your therapist based on need.

Should I use insurance or private pay?

When seeking therapy, we understand that most people are looking for the most economical approach to receiving help- which for many means utilizing insurance benefits. If you are in the need of psychological care, we strongly encourage you to seek appropriate treatment as soon as possible with or without insurance. However, there are a few advantages of choosing to pay for therapy privately, without using your insurance carrier. These include: increased confidentiality, more control over your therapy, and the ability to chose the therapist that is the best fit for you. For more information, please check out our investment page.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We currently accept payment in the form of cash, check, or credit card.

What are your office hours?

Our sessions are by appointment only. We offer appointments Mondays-Thursdays, including limited evening slots based on availability.

For inclement weather, please call our office ahead of your appointment to confirm office hours/closures.
