Meet Rebecca Ruitto, LMFT, PMH-C
Hello, I am so excited that you found your way here! I’m Rebecca- a coffee loving, book reading, foodie and (hopefully) your new therapist.
One of the leading predictors of successful therapy is a good fit between therapist and client. Because I want to make sure your therapy experience is successful, let me tell you a little about working with myself.
My therapy style is genuine, empathetic, and real. We’ll check in about that girls day you had, the job interview, or if you caught up on the show you’ve been meaning to watch. I genuinely want to get to know you and for this to be the space you feel inspired to own who you are. I want therapy to be the space you feel comfortable, seen, and safe. I’ll hold the space for the hard and sometimes awkward stuff; and encourage you to seek your full potential (including letting you know when I think you’re selling yourself short).
Our sessions will include a bit of ‘laying it all on the table’ and working together to identify areas we need to focus on. These become our therapeutic goals. I’ll help you identify the barriers getting in your way and learn the tools you need to be successful in reaching your goals and growing into your full potential.
When it comes to clientele that I am most drawn to, I enjoy working with women and couples who struggle with:
Feelings of anxiety and perfectionism
Couples feeling disconnected and that communication either is non-existent or always a conflict, with no in-between
Women struggling during the pregnancy and postpartum period with perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMADs).
Sound like we’re a good match? Feel free to reach out below to talk about current availability.
My therapy philosophy
Everyone has something going on they can work through
Life doesn’t wait for us to be in a secure/stable place before it changes things up on us. Because life happens, therapy can be helpful for any person at some point in their life.
You’ll never regret helping yourself
If anyone around you deserves some care, it’s almost definitely you. Are you the person constantly taking care of your spouse, family, coworkers, extended family, and friends? Working on yourself helps to improve all other relationships around you. Most importantly, you are worth it.
It’s your story- live it, own it
You deserve to embrace your life, not just go through the movements- and that sometimes means accepting our imperfections. I believe therapy is the space where we can start to own our story and take control of how we want it to end.
I’m not here to tell you what you need to do, I’m here to help you shape who you want to be.
Contrary to popular belief, I don’t have all the answers. What I do have are the training and skills to help you complete self-exploration and change behaviors into a more successful you. I want you to leave therapy not only confident in what we work on this week, but on whatever may come your way in the future.
You’re going to leave therapy a different person, and that’s okay.
Change is one of the most intimidating things we face as humans, but we would never grow if we always did the same thing over and over. It’s ok to identify what isn’t working and replace it with what can (luckily for you, I have some ideas as to where we can start).
